What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Comments And Contact Forms

When a visitor leaves a comment in reference to one of our posts or articles we only collect the basic info. We collect your first name and email address along with your IP address. When visitors submit a comment, concern, question or suggestion via our Contact Us Page we ask for almost the same info. We ask for and collect those forms of info to aid us in SPAM detection and prevention.

Cookies

If you visit our login page, but do not login, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser. We merely want to make sure those with good intentions wound up in the wrong place, or members were signing in.

We set up several cookies when you log in. The first cookie is to save your login information and your screen display choices. A login cookie/cookies only last for two days. Screen options cookies last for an entire calendar year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

You have the opportunity save your name, email address and website in cookies when you leave a comment(s) on our website by opting in. These are for your convenience so that you wont have to go through filling in your credentials when you want to leave another comment. Media

We only allow our REGISTERED MEMBERS to upload content, media or images into our website. We define a registered member as someone who has paid “Membership Fees” in the name of receiving ongoing services from us. The only form of images REGISTERED MEMBERS can upload to our website are personal identification items like driver license or photos. We use these images in the name of identifying and verifying our clients. This also allows us to deny individuals from performing identity theft or otherwise tampering with client accounts in office. We take our clients online, as well as offline, privacy and data security very seriously. And this is another measure that helps us maintain our high standard of data security and privacy.

As far as content or media we only allow REGISTERED MEMBERS to upload content to our website, we disallow media. Once again we define a registered member as someone who has paid “Membership Fees” in the name of receiving ongoing services from us. The content we allow is in the form of personal information in the form name, address, d.o.b., business name and other possibly related pieces of key information. Once again this is done in the name of identifying and verifying individuals. As well as helping any third party companies we may contract with to render services we offer.

Regarding Third Parties

You can rest assured we do our best to ensure any third parties we contract with adhere, with the strictest integrity, to our data regulation and data security policies as well as personal data security guidelines. However, we DO NOT make or offer any guarantees, representations or warranties about how any one person or any one company may conduct themselves at any given time. Nor do we accept or claim any responsibility for their actions in the event of unprofessional actions.

Embedded content from other websites

Pages and Posts on our site may display content that has been embedded, e.g. videos, images, infographics and/or articles etc., Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same manner as it does on its originating website.

Third party websites we have borrowed or shared content with or even simply just link to something relevant on their website may collect data about you. They may use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking and more than likely they will monitor your interaction with that embedded content. The second way we receive moderately identifying, as well as identifying information, happens when we request it and you supply it. Either in the name of receiving an estimate of services or for receiving the actual services.

How Long We Retain Your Data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. As well as spot the Spammers upon their return. DON’T SPAM!!

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, and possibly delete their personal information at any time, except they cannot change their username and they cannot delete anything we are legally mandated to retain for a stated amount of time by statute, administrative code or other mandate. Website administrators can also see and edit any and all information. However, we can say we thoroughly vet our web administrators who have carte blanche to any and all information.

Depending on the services you request and sign-up for we may share your data with a third party service provider, possibly more than one. They receive no more than what they absolutely need to perform the task. And we make every attempt to ensure they only hold onto the data as long as legally necessary. However, we DO NOT accept any responsibility or make any guarantees about any third party at any given time.

We make sure they have a Privacy Policy as well as a Terms of Service. It is absolutely crucial that you read and understand those notices to the best of your abilities as well.

How We Protect Your Data

As previously mentioned we take the security of your personal data as well as your overall personal privacy very seriously. We have a firewall in place, as well as a threat scanner running all the time. We are also hosted on one of Cloudway’s Cloud Servers. And Cloudways takes the security of their servers and the websites hosted thereon very, very, very, quite serious.
